
Alexandra Rose Raisman, born May 25 1994, is an American retired artistic gymnast. She has also been two-time Olympian. She was captain of the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics teams. She received an Olympic gold medal for team competitions at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas, her teammate, also took home gold. Raisman also took home silver medals for individual all-around and floor exercise. Raisman also won silver medals in the individual all-around , as well as in floor exercise. She was also the two-time national champion of floor exercises (2012,2015), the national champion in 2012 of balance beam, and five-time medalist in all-around competitions at national championships (silver and bronze in the years of and 2010, as well as in 2011 and 2012 as well as 2012 and the year 2015). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
